T.I. is reportedly expected to testify in the murder trial of one of two brothers accused of killing his friend and personal assistant Philant Johnson.

Hosea Thomas and Pardon Thomas are accused of following and shooting at a van carrying T.I. and his entourage after an altercation at Cincinnati's Club Ritz in October 2006 . The shootings took place on a highway and resulted in Johnson's death.

According to Cincinnati's Local 12, the jury in Hosea Thomas' trial will be visiting the crime scene and listening to opening arguments today(November 1 Cool

Pardon Thomas faces the same charges as Hosea but a date for his trial has not yet been set.

With the voting process for the 2008 Online Hip-Hop Awards closing in a few short days, SOHH caught up with DJ Whoo Kid and DJ Drama, two of the finalists in the Air Waves DJ Award category to find out why they should take home the honors.

The Air Waves DJ Award is going to go to the DJ who fans deem the hottest radio personality. The final nominees include heavy hitters such as DJ Khaled, DJ Drama, Big Boy, Funkmaster Flex and DJ Whoo Kidd.

"I have utmost respect and relationships with most of these djs in this catagory!" Whoo Kid told SOHH. Though Whoo Kid made his mark as the self-professed "Mixtape King" he gained fame when he became an officlal DJ for 50 Cent's G-Unit Records. Now he hosts "G-Unit Radio" on Sirius each Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m. EST.

"I know that they are better than me in some areas but no one can defeat my natural humor on radio," he boasted. "Hands down! And I'm not even a comedian! It's to a point that I get more Hollywood stars on my show than rappers and I can interview anyone and make it interesting to anyone."

"Finally," he continued, "my funny ass show is bootlegged all over the world due to the internet and the 10 million hits a month on THISIS50.com. Thank You (didnt mean to brag POW)!"

DJ Drama, the Atlanta based DJ who is best known for his successful mixtape series "Gangsta Grillz" and his collaborations with Lil' Wayne - Dedications 1, 2 and 3 - took a more humble approach. "If I could have it my way, we'd ALL win the award!" he told SOHH.

"I respect everybody on the list and get inspiration from each DJ," he continued. "I'm out here doin' my thing and am thankful to be in the category with the other big dogs!"

After a decade-plus of work in Houston's underground scene, veteran Lil Keke is now prepared to introduce his first attempt at mainstream recognition.

Since signing with Universal Records in March 2007, Keke has been hard at work completing Loved by Few, Hated By Many. After months of meticulous work, Keke is confident that he's crafted an album that is wholly Texas, but not chock full of the stereotypical topics associated with the region.

"I'm used to making albums real quick, but I took my time on this 'cause it’s my first mainstream album," Keke explained to AllHipHop.com. "I took about a year and a half to make this. It's not gonna be the same Texas rap, talking about bo's and candy paint. I'm gonna paint pictures of every walk of this game."

The Houston staple has come a long way since first joining the late DJ Screw's Screwed Up Clik over 10 years ago at the age of 16. Recalling the late pioneer's chopped and screwed style, an innovation that's become a cornerstone of Houston's sound, Keke chuckled in amazement at how oblivious the collective was to the history they were creating.

"There wasn't even a booth. The microphone was just out in the middle of the room," Keke told AllHipHop.com of his early sessions with DJ Screw. "We wasn't doing nothing but having fun and next thing we knew, people were calling us to come do these freestyles at their shows. I was 17 getting paid $2000 just to do one song."

Regarding the new generation of Houston emcees, Keke is appreciative of them carrying on the traditions. However, he is adamant in making clear the origin on their styles.

"The style you hear Paul Wall, Mike Jones, and Slim Thug doing was created from my style," Keke claims. "The slang that they're using is a slang they got from me when they were coming up and riding around. I was the first one that put that slang out and made it sell."

The lead single from Lil Keke's new album is "I'm a G," featuring Cash Money's Baby AKA Birdman.

Snoop Dogg's family has been forced to evacuate their Southern California home because of wildfires spreading through the area.

According to TMZ, a radio station encountered Snoop's staff packing up possessions and memorabilia from the rapper's Diamond Bar home over the weekend.

The fires, which have been burning out of control for a few days now, have reportedly destroyed 150 homes and displaced 26,000 residents.

Although Snoop wasn't home, his family was reportedly rushed from the rapper's estate to avoid personal injury.

In other Snoop news, the second season of the rapper's hit reality show "Snoop Dogg's Fatherhood" is scheduled to premiere on Sunday, November 30th at 10:30p.m. EST on E!.

50 Cent is back at it again - and "it" is not making music. While backstage at last night's (November 16) TRL finale show, 50 had some harsh words for his unrequited archrival's new album and Donald Trump.

"I heard, like, seven songs," 50 said of Kanye West's 808s & Heartbreak. "There's a place for it. I think people will enjoy it if you're actually in love or going through something. I think Kanye's going through an interesting point in his career."

50 also voiced his opinion on West's frequent collaboration with T-Pain on the project.

"I don't think the public will forgive [Kanye] for it, but it's interesting," 50 said. "I think it's T-Pain's record, but I'd rather but it from T-Pain."

50 then turned his attention to Donald Trump and some recent comments he made about the rapper's show, 50 Cent: The Money & The Power, being an unvarnished copy of his The Apprentice.

"Donald Trump talking about my show and how it's a knockoff of The Apprentice? He's crazy!" 50 said. "That's what happens when you get older - you start to view things differently."

"First, let me point out [my show] got the highest ratings," he said, also claiming that he got better ratings than A Shot at Love With Tila Tequila.

"And she kissed three girls! She's a hard act to follow," he quipped.

50 then offered Trump some career advice saying, "In this economy, he may want to go sing In Da Club instead of selling real estate!"
